A young Cowden side went down to a 2-0 defeat against Reserve League Cup holders Ross County in an afternoon game at Victoria Park with Garry Wood scoring a brace.Manger Danny Lennon listed himself as a trialist but had to come off just short of the half hour mark after picking up a knock.
Jay Shield, who made his comeback from injury on Saturday, also got a run out to build up his fitness.
