Cowdenbeath FC 2  Queen's Park 0

Date: 27th November 2018 Kick off: 7:45pm
Competition: Ladbrokes League 2 Referee: Steven Kirkland
Venue: Central Park Attendance: 275

A second successive league win saw us close the gap on the Spiders to one point at a bitterly cold Central Park.

There were two changes to the side which had beaten Brora with Mullen serving a suspension while Pyper dropped to the bench with Fraser and Swann coming back in to the starting line up. Jordan Allan who was signed earlier in the day was also on the bench.

Our first chance of the night saw Cox being set up by Miller but his shot was saved by keeper Hart.

Swann then sent a 14 yard shot over then he sent over a cross to Deas who saw his header come off the bar with McKernon intercepting to stop Renton getting a shot at goal with the rebound.

At the other end McGurn saved from Roberts before we hit the woodwork for a second time when Renton hit the post following a Fraser corner.

Five minutes into the second half, Skelly who had replaced Swann at the interval, swept the ball across the goalmouth to the Spiders back post for Kris RENTON to slot the ball home from close range.

Deas then set up Marsh but with only the keeper to beat Hart managed to smother the ball while Hawke saw a good chance cleared by McGurn and Deas.

Eight minutes from time we got our second goal of the night when Hart failed to clear properly with the ball falling to Josh SKELLY who lobbed the keeper from 25 yards to seal the points.
