Two first half goals gave Edinburgh City their third win over us this season to maintain their place at the top of the table.

There was one change from the midweek win over Albion Rovers with Cox coming in for Henvey.

It was the home side who had the first chance of the afternoon when Shepherd hit the side netting after connecting with a Thomson cross.

It was Craig THOMSON who was to open the scoring with 15 minutes when Walker rolled the ball into his path and after taking a touch fired in a 30 yard dipping shot which flew pat Lennox into the top corner of the net.

We however got a lifeline to get back into the match eight minutes later when Laird nudged Renton in the box but Fraser’s second spot kick in four days was this time saved by keeper Antell.

Then with 28 minutes gone the hosts went further ahead when Blair HENDERSON made the most of a defensive mix up to slot home a second goal.

Shortly after the break Lennox saved a Henderson header while at the other end Buchanan saw a header come off the post.

Then with 69 minutes gone we were reduced to ten men when Cox was sent off after over protesting not being award a corner.
