Three Annan goals in the closing minutes saw us fall further behind the visitors in the quest for the final play off position.

There were three changes to the side which had drawn at Hampden the previous week with Luc Bollan and Jamie Todd making their debuts with Martin Scott also returning.

Harvey Swann and Jordan Allan dropped to the bench while Robbie Deas was on international duty in Spain with the Scotland under 19 side.

Things opened brightly and with ten minutes gone we took the lead when Buchanan was fouled by Hooper and Fraser MULLEN sent his 22 yard free kick into the top corner of the net.

However the lead lasted on five minutes when Chris JOHNSTON went on a run down the right wing before cutting in to fire an angled shot into the far corner of the net.

11 minutes from the break we restored our lead when Miller went on a good run and his pass was gathered by Kris RENTON who fired past Mitchell from ten yards out.

The visitors levelled once more with 56 minutes gone when the defence failed to deal with a Moxon cross into the box and the ball fell to Aidan SMITH who fired home from eight yards.

Annan then came close following corners firstly a Johnston corner fell to Nade who saw his header saved by Lennon then Swinglehurst saw a header come off the bar following another Johnston corner.

12 minutes later a header from Swinglehurst came off the bar following a Johnston corner.

Then with 76 minutes gone keeper Lennox was forced to withdraw after dislocating a finger and was replaced by McGurn.

Minutes later we had a chance to restore our lead when Buchanan found himself in a good position 14 yards out but a timely sliding tackle from Watson cleared the ball.

It was to prove costly as with three minutes to go no one picked up JOHNSTON and he put Annan ahead for the first time.

Bollan was then sent off as the game went into stoppage time and SMITH went onto get his second goal of the afternoon.
