After the Scottish Cup and live television appearances it was back to the bread and butter of League Two was we were denied all three points by a last minute penalty.
There were three changes to the side which went down to Rangers with Aaron Lennox coming in for his debut along with Swann and Allan with McGurn and Malcolm dropping to the bench while Talbot was sidelined.
The Spiders had the first chance of the afternoon in the very first minute when a low shot from Gow was held by Lennox and minutes later the keeper denied McGroy diving to save his shot from the edge of the box.
With 13 minutes gone Cox came close to opening the scoring but his header went just wide while at the other end Lennox denied Hawke.
Just after the half hour Hawke got on the end of a free kick but sent his header wide, then Allan broke through but was blocked by former Central Parker McLaughlan.
Then, minutes from the interval Lennox turned an effort from Hawke around the post.
Cox then had another good effort ten minutes into the second half when his close range header, from a Mullen cross, was turned onto the bar by keeper Hart.
While minutes later Lennox made a double save from Gow while Gault went down in the box with 65 minutes gone but penalty claims were waived aside by the referee.
Hart then saved a Fraser shot from the edge of the box before the breakthrough finally came with 12 minutes to go when Renton put Matt HENEVY through on goal to slot a low shot past Hart.
However with a few minutes to go Queen’s levelled from the penalty spot when Pyper brought down Gault and Scott McLean squeezed the ball past the diving Lennox.
