Our one and only home game of the pre season build up saw a narrow defeat from a Dundee side who utilised 22 players during the 90 minutes.
Gary Bollan made four changes to the side which had won in Edinburgh two days earlier with Pyper, Miller and Renton in the starting line up.
With just two minutes gone Buchanan took advantage of a slack pass from Curran but delayed his shot and the ball was cleared by Madianga.
Then six minutes later Malcolm saw a shot held by Hamilton and with 18 minutes gone the keeper was once again called into action turning a close range shot from Sheerin around the post.
At the other end Goodfellow dived to save a low 20 yard shot from Ngawatia and minutes later Ralph headed over from a Wolters corner.
Goodfellow did well to save a low drive from Wolters and then on the stroke of half time Pyper header over following a Mullen corner.
Seven minutes into the second half Madinga was brought down on the edge of the box by Talbot and the resultant low free kick from Wolters went just wide of the post.
Then a minute later Sheerin and Renton combined with the latters shot being deflected for a corner.
Goodfellow once again denied Wolters while just after the hour Renton was denied by replacement keeper Parrish.
The Dees made multiple replacements in the second half and it was one of those subs who eventually broke the deadlock when Matt HENVEY got on the end of a long ball from Moore and raced towards goal to lob Goodfellow with an angled shot with 18 minutes remaining.
Then right at the end Goodfellow pulled off a superb save to deny Waddell while Lamont scooped the ball over from the resultant corner.
