A goal four minutes from time from David Cox saw us move back into second place in the group behind Inverness on goal difference.

Gary Bollan named an unchanged starting XI from the one which had went down to Inverness the previous Tuesday.

The visitors had their best chance of the afternoon with just a minute gone when Malcom fouled Yule 20 yards out and the resultant free kick from Scully came off the bar and bounced to safety.

At the other end with 11 minutes gone Sheerin set up Scott and his 18 yard shot brought out a good fingertip save from McKenzie.

Masson saw two effort blocked by Pyper and Marsh while Scott headed just wide from a Cox cross.

On the half hour Sheerin sent a lob just over the bar while McKenzie pulled off a fine save to deny Smith.

While on the half time whistle McGurn was at his best to stop a close range header from Ross.

Three minutes into the second half Megginson fired just over and minutes later Scott set up Cox but he blazed his 12 yard shot over the bar, then Sheerin sent a 25 yard effort over.

The deadlock was finally broken with four minutes to go when David COX fired home the rebound from six yards after a Sheerin effort had come off the post.
