Competition: Ladbrokes League 2 Referee: Craig Charleston

We followed up our midweek draw at Edinburgh with our first win since August.

After the Ainslie Park draw Gary Bollan made one change to the starting XI with Swann replacing the injured Hornby.

With 13 minutes gone Malcolm sent along range shot over the bar and saw an effort from the edge of the box held by keeper Long.

A three man move involving Gilfillan and Sheerin saw the ball eventually fall to Buchanan but he was blocked by a defender.

On the half hour Cox sent a 20 yard shot wide of the post before Cameron fired high over the bar at the other end.

Miller then put Cox through on goal nine minutes from the break but he was blocked by the advancing Long who picked up an injury which eventually saw him replaced at the interval.

Mullen then floated a free kick into the box but a header from Cox was saved by the keeper.

The breakthrough eventually came six minutes from half time when Robbie BUCHANAN waltzed through the Elgin defence before slotting a low shot into the far corner of the net.

A minute later we doubled our advantage when a Mullen corner was headed on by Pyper into the path of Jordyn SHEERIN who headed home from close range.

Three minutes into the second half a Cox cross was picked up at the back post by Buchanan but his shot was saved by replacement keeper Waters.

Brad Smith then shot over from the edge of the box while Gilfillan got on the end of a Mullen corner at the back post with 54 minutes gone but sent his header wide.

A dramatic period around the hour mark saw a lob by Cameron held by McGurn and a minute later the keeper pulled off a fine double saw to stop shots from Shane Sutherland and Cameron.

However he was beaten in 61 minutes when SUTHERLAND, making his first appearance for City in a year since he went off injured at Central Park, fired home a curling shot from the edge of the box.

With three minutes remaining we got a third goal to kill off any hopes of a City comeback when a long ball by Miller was picked up by Sheerin on the right wing who sent the ball to David COX to slot home his second goal of the week.
