It once again proved to be a frustrating afternoon at Borough Briggs as our ten men just failed to hold out for a point.
There were a few changes to the starting line up with new signings Malone and Reilly going straight into the side along with Syme and Malcolm with McInally, Fotheringham and Whitaker dropping to the bench while Muirhead was sidelined with an injury.
The first half was a period of few chances with Reilly sending a shot from the edge of the box wide in the opening minute and a Brad Smith drive three minutes later testing home keeper Watters.
We were then dealt a blow midway through the half when Malcolm had to go off and was replaced by Whitaker.
As the first half drew to a close a Miller effort was saved by Watters but the midielder was to be booked either side of the interval leaving us with ten men for most of the second half.
Both Reilly and Allan sent efforts wide as City looked to take numerical advantage while Smith was once again denied by the keeper.
Mullen then saw a free kick go over the bat while with six minutes to go a McHardy shot from a Reilly corner was deflected for another flag kick.
This time Reilly’s corner saw the ball bobble about in the box before Cameron EADIE poked the ball home from close range.
