With both sides eliminated the final group game was a case of local pride when we met at Starks Park.
There was one change to the starting line up from the Dundee game with Matthew McInally coming back into the side with Kyle Miller dropping to the bench.
The first meaningful chance of the afternoon fell to Vaughan after he had been set up by Callachan but McGovern blocked his shot.
With five minutes gone Spence got on the end of a Vaughan corner but his shot was cleared off the line by Mullen.
Three minutes later the Rovers broke the deadlock when Callachan sent the ball through to Lewis VAUGHAN who slotted the ball into the far corner.
On the half hour the home side doubled their advantage when Spence nodded a Matthews cross into the path of Liam BUCHANAN to fire home.
As the first half drew to a close Matthews saw a shot just go over the bar.
The second half opened with McInally and Muirhead exchanging passes before Matthews blocked a goal bound shot.
The remainder of the second half had a friendly match feel to it and Billy Brown used the opportunity to hand first team debuts to under 20 players Hamish Thomson and Lyle Kellichan.
