Five well struck penalties and a save from Jamie Sneddon in a dramatic shoot out saw us preserve our SPFL status.
Gary Locke made one change to the side which had drawn at K-Park the previous Saturday with Robbie Buchanan coming in for Lewis Moore who dropped to the bench.
We made a positive start to the match on a rainy afternoon and in the opening minute McLeish made a timely tackle to halt Buchanan in his tracks.
However with just three minutes gone we took the lead when a good build up from Buchanan and Carrick down the left saw Henderson lay the ball off for Fraser MULLEN to drill a low shot past McGinley.
Vitoria headed wide for the visitors before Carrick came close to doubling our advantage on three occasions.
Firstly he sent a shot just over and then saw an effort blocked by the keeper’s legs before he headed off the crossbar from a Mullen corner.
After a frantic start the visitors slowly came back into the game after weathering the storm and Vitoria and Winter both came close to levelling the score.
With 64 minutes gone Kieron GIBBONS grabbed an equaliser after we failed to clear our lines and the former Central Parker drilled a low shot home from 25 yards.
The penalty shoot out saw Mullen confidently blast home the opener and Renton, Syme, Johnson and Henderson followed.
Strachan and McLean replied for Kilby, although Sneddon was unfortunate in not stopping McLean’s effort touching it onto the post before it rolled over the line.
He was more successful against Paul Woods saving his effort before Henderson’s vital winner.
