Man of the Match:

Three goals in the closing 16 minutes saw the Wasps come from behind to take all three points although it was all in vein as Stirling Albion held out  to clinch the championship with a draw at Brechin.

After the midweek disappointment of losing out in the title race we made five changes to the starting line up which had drawn with Stirling with youngster Dean Brett making his first team debut.

John Dempster broke the deadlock after 28 minutes to score his second goal of the season against the Wasps when he latched onto a Fairbairn cross to shoot home from six yards despite the best efforts of keeper Crawford to keep the ball out.

The turning point of the afternoon came just on the interval when Armstrong picked up a straight red card when he brought down Prunty on the edge of the box.

The ten men put up a brave fight until the closing stages when the ever dangerous Bryan Prunty drove home a Scott pass after 74 minutes.

Andy Scott gave the home side the lead five minutes later when he fired a low penalty under the diving Hay after McGregor was judged to have fouled Prunty.

Scott then settled the game as a contest after 83 minutes when he blasted the ball home from six yards.
