After losing a three goal lead at
There were two changes to the side which lined up four days previously with Scott Linton and Mark Ramsay replacing the injured Kenny Adamson and Brian Fairbairn who dropped to the bench.
The opening minutes saw McBride shoot against the post while Wardlaw was set up by Ramsay and saw his shot blocked by keeper Nelson’s legs.
The breakthrough however came after 27 minutes when McBride sent in a cross from the left for Paul McQuade whose low diving header beat Nelson.
A trademark long throw from Linton then found McGregor who shot just over. The second goal wasn’t long in coming with McGregor firing a powerful 22 yard shot into the roof of the visiting net ten minutes from the break.
Two minutes after the break in was 3-0 when another long throw from Linton was flicked into the path of Wardlaw by a Brechin defender and big striker headed home his 14th goal of the season.
The days scoring was completed after 57 minutes when McBride swung over a long angled cross to McQuade who first timed a delightful lob over Nelson.
