Goals in each half from Kris Renton and Lewis Moore saw us collect our first points of the season against league new boys Edinburgh City.
Renton sent a header just over the City crossbar with just two minutes gone and soon after keeper Antell blocked a 20 yard shot from Mullen.
Antell again denied Renton blocking his shot while at the other end McGurn parried a Dunn shot.
On the half hour mark a 25 yard free kick from Mullen crashed off the post but seven minutes later we finally broke the deadlock.
A long ball from Rutherford bounced between Antell and Kris RENTON with the Cowden forward heading the ball over the keeper into the empty net.
We opened the second half with Turner sending a shot just wide of the target while Sives had to make a timely intervention to stop Guthrie in his tracks, and soon after McGurn held on to a shot from the City man.
Just after the hour another long range free kick from Mullen was tipped over the bar by Antell as we looked to get a killer second goal, and from the resulting corner Todorov headed just over.
City’s best chance of the afternoon came with 75 minutes gone when Allum picked up a diagonal cross from Dunsmore but weakly fired his shot straight at McGurn.
However with just three minutes to go we made sure of the points when a Glen shot came off the post and he flicked the rebound into the path of Lewis MOORE who slotted home.
