Our poor away form continued at Cliftonhill on Tuesday night as we went down to a second successive defeat to leave us third bottom of the table while Rovers leapfrogged Stenhousemuir into third top.
It was a much changed starting line -up which took the field with Fraser Kerr making his debut while Declan Hughes and Chris Kane came back into the side.
A busy opening saw flick by Rovers Dunlop into our box with six minutes gone but the danger was cleared and four minutes later a clearance by keeper Stewart came off Spence but the last line was able to clear the ball.
Dunlop then sent a cross to Love at the back post but he sent his shot wide of the target.
Spence then got on the end of a Murdoch free kick but his header from close range when over the Rovers bar while a long range effort from Hughes was tipped over the bar by Stewart.
Midway through the first half Miller released the ball to Spence but his shot went over while soon after a Hughes free kick was held by the keeper.
Miller and Spence both had good chances as the opening period wound down but it remained goal less at the interval.
The second half was just seconds old when we broke the deadlock with Murdoch slotting the ball to Greig SPENCE who slotted the ball past Stewart.
However, the lead lasted just four minutes with former Central Parker Scott McBride blasting the ball past Sneddon following a pass from Ferry.
A good move saw Josh Mullin weave his way through the Cowden defence but his final shot lacked power and Sneddon gathered easily.
However within a minute MULLIN grabbed what proved to be the winner when got on the end of a McRobbie cross to send a looping header into the corner of the net.
We rallied to salvage a point and with eight minutes to go Johnston sent a long range effort wide as Rovers saw their impressive home form continue.
