Competition: Ladbrokes League 1 Referee: Mr Nick Walsh
Venue: Central Park Attendance: 2097

Our unbeaten run was extended to three games after a keenly fought derby game which brought out our biggest crowd of the season.
Both managers fielded unchanged line ups from the previous Saturday for what was only the third goal less league game between the two sides.
You have to go back to over 100 years for the last time it happened in Cowdenbeath, at North End Park on 16th August 1914 in a Second Division match to be exact.
More recently there had been a goal less Second Division game at East End Park on 20th March 1984.

In the second minute Hopkirk broke into our box but Sneddon pulled off a good block from his low 12 yard drive.
Ten minutes later Spence found space 20 yards out and his dipping shot was well held by Murdoch but three minutes on, after a Moffat assist, El Bahktoui fired in a crisp 14 yarder which Sneddon held.

Then at the other end a long Callaghan free-kick was met by Smith and his header fell for Brett, but his shot went wide.
With seconds to go to the break a long Donaldson cross was heading for Spence and it took a timely interception by Richards-Everton to prevent him getting on the end of it, then on the interval whistle Brett’s free-kick whistle just over.

We started the second-half brightly and a Callaghan cross looked dangerous but smart work by Murdoch mopped things up, then Adamson fired a fierce drive inches wide after good work down the left.

There were home claims for a penalty in 57 minutes when Spence went down in a tackle by Richards-Everton but the referee awarded a goal-kick.
Then the top scorer saw his good run ended by a timely McAusland challenge but at the other end Richards-Everton’s header from a Cardle corner went inches over before Brett’s shot from close in went too high.

Then with 80 minutes on the clock Murdoch’s 30 yard effort was brilliantly blocked by his namesake.
