After the disappointment of dropping two points in the closing stages the previous week we bounced back to get our first away win of the season at Stair Park last Saturday.
Colin Nish kept faith with the side which had started against Stenhousemuir the previous week.
We opened the game brightly and in the opening minute Smith broke into the home box but his shot was blocked.
In eight minutes Smith played the ball to Murdoch who was brought down on the edge of the box but the resultant free kick by Brett was cleared by the home defence.
With ten minutes gone we took the lead with a carbon copy of the previous weeks opening goal when Brad DONALDSON headed home at the near post from a Murdoch corner.
The Blues however almost equalised straight from the restart when a Thomson shot from the edge of the box came off the post and deflected off Sneddon for a corner.
Then McGuighan sent the ball across the face of the Cowden goal with Stirling just failing to connect.
Midway through the first period a cross from Adamson was cleared by Keenan while McGurn saved a close range shot from El Zubaidi.
Just after the half hour cut into the home goalmouth but was denied by McGurn while at the other end McGuighan found himself through on goal but Sneddon done well to block his effort at the edge of the box.
In 37 minutes the young keeper once again came to our rescue turning a point blank shot from Longworth over the bar.
Then a minute later the home side missed another good chance when Stirling sent an inviting cross which was missed by McGuighan with the goal at his mercy.
In 58 minutes we doubled our advantage when Donaldson crossed to the far post for Callaghan to cut the ball back to Kyle MILLER who slotted home from close range.
With eight minutes to go Turner had a chance to pull a goal back for the home side when his shot from the edge of the box went just over but we secured the points with five minutes remaining when Robbie BUCHANAN fired home after good work from Brett.
