Cowdenbeath FC 2  Forfar Athletic 1

Date: 19th September 2015 Kick off: 3:00pm
Competition: Ladbrokes League 1 Referee: Mr Gavin Duncan.
Venue: Central Park Attendance: 443

The duo of Gordon Smith and Greig Spence scored for the second successive Saturday to give us a win over the league leaders.
There were three changes to the starting line up which had draw with Peterhead. Kenny Adamson came in for the suspended Mo Yaqub while Kyle Miller and Sam Orritt came into the side, with Robbie Buchanan and Craig Johnston dropping out.

With five minutes gone Scullion made a timely block to stop a Templeman header and two minutes later 30 yard free kick from former Central Parker Campbell crashed off the bar.
Scullion then came to the rescue once more blocking a close range shot from Templeman.

At the other end good work by Brett and Spence saw the later send a 12 yard shot past the post.
With 28 minutes gone we opened the scoring when Gordon SMITH latched onto a Murdoch cross and fired home from 12 yards.

Two minutes later Sneddon had to be alert blocking a close range header from Templeman.
As the opening period came to a close a diagonal cross ball from Smith was missed by Nicholl presenting Spence with a good opportunity but his shot was deflected for a corner.
Four minutes into the second half the Loons drew level when a pass from Fotheringham was picked up by Gavin SWANKIE who sent a low 14 yard drive into the corner of the net.
Soon after Swankie sent over an inviting cross across the face of the Cowden goal but Travis failed to connect.

Just short of the hour Spence met a Brett cross 12 yards out but his header was saved by Gallacher and soon after Scullion headed wide.
With 66 minutes gone we lost Orritt when a clash of heads with Black at the halfway line saw the young Englishman leave the field with a broken nose.

As play resumed Travis sent over cross in the Cowden box which was intercepted by El Zubaidi with Templeman lurking at the post.
In 71 minutes Greig SPENCE got what proved to be the winner when he picked up a pass from Smith and fired the ball past Gallacher from 12 yards.

With 15 minutes to go Dick Campbell made three changes as he refreshed his attacking options looking to salvage the game but we held out to take our unbeaten home run to three games.
