The reserves got their first win of the season at a rain lashed New Bayview thanks to a brace from Andrew Russell along with a decisive third goal from youngster Jack Wright.
We opened the game strongly and Russell, Finnie and Milne all came close to opening the scoring before Russell finally broke the deadlock after 22 minutes.
The striker met a cross from Pyper and fired home a low shot on the turn from 16 yards past keeper Andrews.
Minutes later Miller came close to a second but sent his long range free kick over the bar after Wright had been brought down by Lennie.
At the other end Falconer saw a shot blocked by the legs of Adam as the home side looked to get back on level terms.
However it was Cowden who went further ahead 12 minutes from the break when Pyper once again set up Andrew Russell who fired home a low shot from 14 yards.
As the first half drew to a close Russell twice came close to completing his hat trick while Milne was denied by Andrews after jinxing past three defenders.
With five minutes of the second half gone Adam blocked an effort from Shaw but with 53 minutes gone the home side pulled a goal back when Cedric Tuta brushed past Lynas to fire home an angled shot.
However 12 minutes later we restored our advantage when a miss hit shot from Callaghan fell into the path of Jack Wright who fired the ball past Andrews.
As the game drew to a close Hunter, who had replaced the injured Adam in the Cowden goal, did well to block a shot from Falconer, then Milne met a Johnston cross but saw his shot come off the cross bar.
In the dying seconds of the game Hunter once again did well to deny Austin once again blocking the strikers shot with his legs.
