The youngsters went down to a heavy defeat in a Sunday morning fixture played at Belmont Academy.

The home side took the lead after 25 minutes when Muir released Ryan Nisbet who slotted an angled shot past Speedie.

Twelve minutes later Ayr went further ahead when Dillon Dunn took advantage of a slack pass back and shot home from the edge of the box.

Ten minutes into the second half it was 3-0 when with Nisbet getting his second goal of the morning and with 68 minutes gone he completed his hat trick.

Dunn made added a fifth goal with 16 minutes to go before Peter McGill headed home a sixth with eight minutes to go.
