Cowdenbeath U'20s 2   1

Date: 18th November 2012 Kick off: 11:00am
Competition: Youth League Referee: Lorraine Clark
Venue: Dunfermline High School

The youngsters recorded a second successive win but the game was marred by an injury to captain Dale Finnie just after the hour mark.
We opened the game brightly looking to build on the win against Berwick the previous week and with just three minutes gone Anthony shot just wide of the visitors’ goal.
Callaghan then floated a free kick into the Clyde box and Lynas sent his shot wide of the target.
At the other end the Bully Wee’s first real chance of the afternoon saw a low long range shot from Orrick held by Mooney.
However we took a deserved lead after 16 minutes when Callaghan swung over a corner from the right and the ball eventually fell to Dale Finnie who lashed the ball home.
We continued to dominate the opening period and Callaghan sent a long diagonal ball to Schiavone who ran in on goal but shot wide of the target.
Three minutes into the second period Clyde got back into the game when Kieran Daw slotted the ball home from 12 yards.
The goal sparked life into the visitors and minutes later almost took the lead when a Breen flick went inches wide of the post.
Just after the hour Finnie fell to the ground in agony just at the halfway line after his studs appeared to get caught in the surface and he twisted his knee.
After play resumed Dan Hall got the winning goal after 70 minutes. Johnston was pushed off the ball by defender White in the box and although Hall’s spot kick was saved by keeper Jarvie the big defender was on hand to slot home the rebound.
