Airdrie frontman Christian McKenna was the Diamonds goal hero as they gained revenge for the previous Sunday’s Scottish Youth Cup defeat.
McKenna had got Airdrie’s consolation goal in the cup game and he turned in a fine individual performance at the Excelsior Stadium on Sunday morning scoring four goals.
McKenna opened the scoring in 18 minutes and added a second seven minutes from the break.
The youngster completed his hat trick on 64 minutes and grabbed his fourth with five minutes to go.
Jordan Wright was also on target for the Diamonds with Ethan Anderson coming off the bench to grab our consolation.
