Derek Nicholson’s under 19 team got their first win of the campaign on Sunday afternoon against Peterhead in a game which was played at Davidson Park in the Blue Toon home of junior side Longside.

The youngsters put their hosts under pressure from the start and were rewarded with a goal after just six minutes when Michael Fleming hit home a half volley from ten yards.

We doubled our advantage on 19 minutes when Jack Nicholson was brought down in the box and slotted home the resultant spot kick.

Nicholson was on target once more on the hour when he flicked home a header after a good build up from Docherty and six minutes later Daniel Hall completed the scoring with a shot from just inside the box.

We then had two ‘goals’ from Nicholson and Pyper disallowed for offside.
