After a 14 week wait we at last returned to Central Park as the first half of the league campaign drew to a close.
The Pars made the short journey east looking for their first win on the road since late September and like the New Year derby a second half goal blitz saw them take the points to move within two points of league leaders Raith Rovers.
After giving a good account of ourselves in the first 45 minutes we lost the vital opening goal a couple of minutes after the restart.
A long punt from keeper Smith was headed on by Kirk to David Graham who steadied himself before firing a low right foot shot in to the corner of the net.
Former Central Parker Liam Buchanan got his first goal for his new side on 68 minutes when Cardle sent over a cross after good work on the left and the little front man headed home from six yards.
With the home defence tiring against their full time opponents Graham got his second goal of the afternoon six minutes later firing home another right foot shot into the net from the edge of the box.
Andy Kirk then wrapped up the game with six minutes to go when he headed home from a Hardie cross.
