Despite holding a two goal advantage going into the closing minutes of the game we had to settle for a point in a six goal thriller at Beath High School on Sunday morning.

We opened brightly and a shot from O’Brien from the edge of the box was blocked by keeper Goodfellow at the expense of a corner which saw the Pars custodian pull off a good save from a Nicholson header.

It was the visitors however who broke the deadlock after nine minutes when MacDonald sent over a cross which bounced off the inside of the post and fell to Connor Schiavone who slotted the ball home from close range.

The equaliser was soon in coming however when Simon Docherty fired home a low shot from the edge of the box with 15 minutes gone.

Two minutes after the break we almost took the lead when an angled shot from Milne was put out for a corner by the keeper and from Pyper’s kick Thomas O’Brien saw his header come off the crossbar.

O’Brien however got on the score sheet after 59 minutes when he drilled home a low shot from 16 yards.

Two minutes later the Pars almost grabbed an equaliser by Schiavone’s shot was cleared off the line by Pyper. Leslie then fired in a shot which brought out a good save from Wilson.

With ten minutes to go Simon Docherty scored his second goal with an angled shot but in a dramatic closing few minutes the Pars managed to score twice.

In the 89^th minute MacDonald sent over a cross for Aaron Scott to shoot home from close range and with the last kick of the ball John MacDonald volleyed home a stunning equaliser from 20 yards.
