Greg Stewart (Striker, 2010-14) - Greg Stewart was a discard from the Rangers and Hearts academies and was with amateur side Syngenta when Cowden gave him a trail in 2010. He was soon snapped up and proved to be one of the club’s most astute acquisitions in many a year. He scored regularly but it was his breathtaking skill and stylish play that caught the eye and made him the hero of the Central Park faithful – it was worth the admission fee alone to see him play and for 4 memorable seasons that is what we did. Dundee signed him under freedom of contract in 2014 and he entranced the Dens Park fans as well. He scored goals but more often he was the deft creator of goals with a little bit of magic. In 2015/16, he and Kane Hemmings reunited in a devastating goal scoring partnership which earned Greg nomination as one of the four candidates for the Premier League player of the year for the second year running. Half a million pounds then took Greg down south to play for Birmingham City in the Championship. Birmingham though seemed to have no idea how to use him and loaned him to Aberdeen.
