Kane Hemmings (Striker, 2013-14) - An injury prone striker that Cowdenbeath acquired on loan from Rangers – Kane Hemmings showed enough to suggest he was just the sort of player Cowden needed. Recalled to Rangers but released after they won the Third Division title, Kane was persuaded to return to Central Park to put himself in the shop window and also by a healthy wage. Kane was a great success and notched 23 goals in season 2013/14 for Cowdenbeath to end up as Championship Player of the Year. A move to Barnsley followed where he enjoyed mixed fortunes. A return to Scotland in 2015 when he joined Dundee and teamed up again with his old Cowden partner Greg Stewart saw him take the Scottish Premier by storm. A 20 plus goals tally in the top flight produced another move South when Oxford United paid £250,000 for his transfer. He then enjoyed mixed success with Oxford United and is currently out on loan and scoring goals for Mansfield Town.
