Staff Biography

David Hay (Goalkeeper, 2005-11) - David Hay commenced his career as a youth player with Dunfermline Athletic. After failing to make the first team he was released by the Pars and joined East Stirlingshire in July 2001. He was to spend only a season with the Shire before his old boss Dick Campbell took him to Brechin City. In his first season with the Glebe Park side he helped them to promotion as Second Division runner up behind Raith Rovers. He also played in the Bell’s Challenge Cup Final when City lost 2-0 to Queen of the South at Broadwood. In June 2005 he was signed by Dave Baikie and became a regular in the Cowden 2006 championship winning side missing only one game. He played in two more promotion successes for the club. ‘Duff’ had made 200 league appearances for the Blue Brazil when he left us in 2011 and then enjoyed much junior success with sides such as Bonnyrigg Rose.
