The Blue Brazil extended the unbeaten league run to eight games as a hard-earned derby win retained our four point advantage at the top of the Irn-Bru Second Division.

There was not much between the sides throughout but Cowden done enough to secure the points after Marc McKenzie (43) took advantage of a mix-up in the home defence to score his 10th of the season.

Thomas Flynn kept his 12th clean sheet of the season as the Blue Brazil rearguard nullified the home side.

The result continued our domination in this fixture with the 1-0 win making it nine games unbeaten since 2006.
