A goal in each half earned a comfortable win over Airdrie United and increased our lead at the top of the Irn-bru 2nd Division to eight points.

Marc McKenzie (pictured) headed home the break through goal from close range after Lewis Coult picked him out at the back post. Coult - who picked up the sponsor's man of the match champagne - was also involved in second goal after the keeper brough him down in the box. Mark Ramsay (58) made no mistake from the spot.

Cowden never really moved out of 2nd gear during the match but the scoreline could have been much more convincing. A host of chances were past up including McKenzie and Colin Cameron who narrowly missed the target with just the keeper to beat.

New signing Liam Cusak started the match while Derek Lyle made his debut form the bench in the second half.
