Preview: Cowdenbeath v Airdrie United
After the excitement of the Scottish Cup last weekend, Central Park hosts another vital game this Saturday as the league leaders come up against free-scoring Airdrie United.
Cowden lead the 2nd Division by six points from nearest rivals Arbroath and we are unbeaten in the last 7 league games and have yet to taste a home defeat in the league this season. However, former Central Parker Jimmy Boyle's side have promotion ambitions of their own and have a point to prove after being on the end of a thumping 5-1 defeat from the Blue Brazil at the Excelsior Stadium back in August.
It certainly promises to be Central Park for thrills as the league's top scorers go head-to-head.
Colin Cameron has a number of injury worries for the game but is able to call on the services of new signings Derek Lyle (Hamilton Accies) and Liam Cusak (Clyde). Greg Stewart is out after going over his ankle in training on Tuesday night while four players face late fitness tests.
