The second XI completed their home Reserve League Cup fixtures with a defeat from group leaders Hamilton at Central Park on Tuesday night.
The visitors opened the scoring after only five minutes when a low cross from Hendrie was met by Andrew Ryan who slid the ball home from close range.
We almost grabbed an equaliser nine minutes later when a corner was cleared by the Accies defence into the path on Nicholson who saw his shot come off the crossbar. We then suffered another set back after 19 minutes when Lewis Coult went off injured.
A minute from the interval we had another good chance to grab an equaliser when McKenzie made a run down the wing and sent a cross across the face of the visitors goalmouth with Milne just failing to connect.
The second half opened with a Ramsay shot whistling just past the post but the same player eventually grabbed an equaliser on 57 minutes. A Milne corner was cleared by the home defence and Ramsay fired a powerful shot into the net from the edge of the box.
Two minutes later he almost grabbed a second goal but saw his shot come off the underside of the bar.
The visitors restored their lead after 67 minutes when Michael Devin rose to head home from a Crawford corner and nine minutes later substitute Ryan Finnie slotted home a third goal from close range.
