Preview: Cowdenbeath v Stenhousemuir
The Blue Brazi host one of our closest rivals at the summit of the Irn-Bru 2nd Division on Saturday with Davie Iron's Stenhousemuir side in town.
2nd half goals from Scott Linton, Jon Robertson and Jordan Morton secured a derby win last weekend and maintained our position as league leaders on goal difference. We face another tough test on Saturday with the visit of 3rd placed Stenhousemuir, who also come into the game on the back of a derby win after defeating Stirliing Albion 4-0.
Stenhousemuir have had the upper hand over Cowden this season with a cup win back in July and a 3-1 victory in the league a month later. Colin Cameron's side will be looking to put this right in the knowledge that a home win would increase the gap between the sides to eight points.
Cameron has the luxury of close to a full squad at his disposal with only Danny Mackay counted out through injury. The manager and Kal Naismith made successful comebacks from the bench last weekend while Mark Ramsay and Dean Brett got 90 minutes for the reserves on Tuesday night.
