East Fife 1 Cowdenbeath 3

A second half Blue Brazil fireworks display ensured it was derby day blues for East Fife once again at New Bayview on Saturday.

Despite the loss of an early goal, Cowden put last week's disapointing defeat firmly behind them with a top class  derby performance to retain top spot from Arbroath on goal difference.

Ryan Wallace (6) scrambled home the opening goal in the opening stages after the away defence failed to clear their lines. That proved to be the only goal of the first half thanks, in a large part, to the Blue Brazil missing a handful of gilt-edged opportunities.

It was a different story after the break with Scott Linton heading home the equaliser within three minutes and further goals from Jon Robertson (62) and Jordan Morton (90) selaed the bragging rights for the blue side of Fife and earned a vital three points in the Irn-Bru 2nd Division promotion campaign.

To cap a fine afteroon, Kal Naismith and Colin Cameron returned from injury as second half replacements.
