Preview: Cowdenbeath v Forfar Athletic

Posted October 20, 2011

The Blue Brazil go into Saturday's game against Forfar Athletic as Irn-Bru 2nd Division leaders and looking to make it five out of five at Central Park in the league this season.

Goals from wide men Jordan Morton (penalty) and Marc McKenzie secured a convincing 2-0 win over Stirling Albion last weekend and claimed top spot from Arbroath in the process. Player/manager Colin Cameron was delighted with the win and particularly the 2nd half performance: "It was a good all round performance and we were more than deserved winners over the 90 minutes."

"We were a bit sluggish in the 1st half but I was delighted with the display after the interval. We have been poor in the 2nd half in a couple of games this season so we warned the lads on half-time to be on their guard. The response was terrific and the early goal from Marc McKenzie was crucial. We totally controlled the 2nd half and created a lot of chances while giving nothing away at the back.

"It is very satisfying to be top of the league but there is a long way to go, starting on Saturday. Forfar Athletic are a very good team and will have taken confidence from coming back to earn a draw against Arbroath with only 10 men. We will need to be at our best but if we play to last week's 2nd half standard we will pose Forfar plenty problems."
