Public Meeting - Thursday 1st September

Cowdenbeath Football Club is holding a public meeting in Partners Bar (upstairs lounge), High Street, Cowdenbeath on Thursday 1st September @7pm. Club Chairman Donald Findlay QC will address the meeting and his fellow Directors will also be in attendance.

A new Cowdenbeath Football Club has begun to emerge over the last 12 months or so and is now run by a consortium of supporters' and local business people with the best interests of the club and the community at heart. The Board of Directors to the programme sellers do not take a penny from the club for the many hours they provide.

We all have a shared vision to see Cowdenbeath Football Club established as a truly community-based and thriving football club - run by the people, for the people of the wider Cowdenbeath community - and located at a new community stadium while very much operating on a financially sustainable basis. 

This is a considerable challenge, but progress has already been made and, with the full backing of the supporters and wider community, it can be done. However, there is still a long road ahead and the club's long-term future will depend on the continued and increased commitment of the supporters' and the local community.

It is your club and we need your help.

The meeting is an opportunity to put forward your ideas and suggestions; ask questions; hear how you can play your part; and get an update from the Board on the current state of play.

We would encourage every fan, local businesses and anyone with an interest in the club and the local community to attend and get involved.

The Club has a proud history and can have a bright future if we all work together and rise to the challenge.
