Rosyth Juniors 0 Cowdenbeath U19s 1

Derek Nicholson took his under 19s side to Rosyth Juniors on Saturday in preparation for the league opener against Berwick Rangers next week.

The youngsters overcame their junior opponents thanks to a goal from Callam McNeill. The big centre half found the back of the net after a great delivery from Liam Callaghan.

1st teamer Thomas O'Brien played 45 minutes as he stepped up his match fitness levels while teenage left-back Murray Christie made his debut for the 19s after signing from Hearts.

Nicholson commented: "It was a good all-round performance with the boys playing good passing football."

"The hard work they have put in during pre-season looks to be paying off but they need to keep up the hard work and maintain the standards they have set for themselves."
