Race night raises £1000+

Club Chairman Donald Findlay QC was delighted to receive a cheque for £1,208 towards the cost of purchasing replacement ground covers for Central Park.

The funds were raised following a race night organised at Wee Jimmies by Alex Haddow. The Club suffered a spate of postponements over the winter with significant financial consequences. The Club intends to purchase new covers for season 2011/12 and hopes that it will minimise any impact.

Special thanks to all those who attended and helped to make the night a success - special thanks to June Matthis and Wee Jimmies who gave a considerable donation to the fund.

In addition, the Club is deeply indebted to Alex and his helpers and we would like to record our true gratitude for all their hard work. Alex has been an absolute key man at Central Park this season and has made a fantastic contribution to the successes the Club has achieved.
