Marek Tomana has made a deadline day move to 3rd Division side Montrose after failing to claim a regular starting place at Central Park.
The little Slovakian joined Cowden in the summer of 2008 from Stirling Albion - after spending a short spell on loan the previous season - and made an instant impact on the 2008/09 3rd Division campaign with some dazzling displays in the middle of the park but faded on the heavier pitches during the winter. Tomana failed to regain his early season form and spent much of the 2nd half of the season on the bench. The playmaker was unable to break into the team this campaign and has been allowed to move to Links Park as Danny Lennon looks to balance the books.
Everyone at Central Park wishes Marek all the best.
