Central Park hosts its final Fife derby game of the season on Saturday 2nd April and it promises to be the most important for both clubs involved!. We are now coming into the business-end of the season with Cowden, one of only two part-time teams in the league, fighting for 1st Division survival while our opponents Dunfermline Athletic have SPL aspirations.
Can Cowden repeat the 2-0 win against Dunfermline in the 1992/93 1st Division campaign when a double from Willie Callaghan towards the end of the season ended the Pars promotion hopes to the top flight? Relegation was already a certainty for the 1993 team but this time around the current squad are very much in the mix to claim a second season in the 2nd tier of Scottish football.
