Youngster joins Kelty Hearts on loan

19-year old midfielder Thomas O'Brien has joined local junior team Kelty Hearts on loan until the end of the season. Thomas made his debut on Saturday and scored in a 3-0 win over Linlithgow Rose in the East Region Super League.

The youngster spent a similar spell with Kelty last season before making his first team debut for the Blue Brazil in a Challenge Cup match against Clyde in July. He has made a total of 4 appearances this term (plus 2 as a substitute) and is expected to push for a regular starting place for Cowden next season.

O'Brien, who was a key member of the under 17 team that won the Youth League Cup in 2008, is part of the full-time youth set-up at Central Park.
