Transfer window update

Jimmy Nicholl has identified a number of targets as he looks to add up to four new faces before the window closes at the end of the month and the Cowden boss is hoping to conclude some transfer business ahead of the weekend’s home game against Partick Thistle.

22-year old striker Lewis Coult was added to the squad last week for a nominal free from junior side Arniston Rangers while Mark Smith has joined Belshill Athletic after being released. 18-year old centre half Steven Bennett’s loan deal with Bellshill Athletic has been extended until the end of the season. Paul Byrne, Thomas O’Brien and Jamie Pyper are also going out on loan in order to gain valuable first team experience while others may follow before the end of the month.
