Sunday's (2nd January 2011) home fixture against Queen of the South has been postponed despite the efforts of a team of volunteers.
The volunteers worked all day on Thursday to clear the remaining snow from the playing surface but large areas of the pitch are covered by a layer of ice and frost.
Many thanks to everyone who has helped with the snow clearing operation over the last month or so. A large volume of snow has now been cleared from the playing surface and surrounding areas which will hopefully enable a game of football to go ahead at Central Park in the near future.
The Blue Brazil are now not scheduled to be in competitive action until the 15th of January 2011 with a trip to face Greenock Morton at Cappielow. The next home game, weather permitting, is the following week against Partick Thistle which would be the first fixture at Central Park since the 5-1 win over Stirling Albion on the 6th of November 2010.
