Volunteers are required to assist with removing the remaining snow and water from the playing surface ahead of the scheduled home game against Queen of the South on Sunday 2nd January 2011.
The Club has not had a home game, due to the weather since the 6th of November and the pitch is currently unplayable. However, the 5-day forecast is promising and with the assistance of a good number of volunteers it is hoped that this weekend's game will get the go ahead. The previous snow clearing operation, thanks to the great effort of a team of volunteers, removed a large volume of snow from the pitch and surrounding areas and the subsequent thaw has helped again. However, there is still a layer of snow on some areas of the pitch and the thaw has resulted in surface water in places.
Come along from 10am on Thursday 30th December and, if you can, bring a snow shovel, wheel barrow or pitch fork. Any assistance is much appreciated and all volunteers will be offered free entry to a home game of their choice.
It's your club - rise to the challenge and play your part!
