Cowdenbeath came out of cold storage at Dens Park on Tuesday night but the ring-rusty side found in-from Dundee too hot to handle.

Jimmy Nicholl's men were last in action almost a month ago and Craig Forsyth opened the scoring fort the home side after 37 minutes before two quick fire second half goals from Nick Riley (66) and Craig McKeown completed the scoring.

Joe Mbu and John Armstrong continued their comebacks from long-term injury but John Dempster was strechered off in the second half.

Weather permitting, the Blue Brazil are on the road again this weekend with a derby against Raith Rovers at Stark's Park.
