Help urgently required - Tuesday 14th to Friday 17th December

Posted December 13, 2010

Thanks to all those who have risen to the challenge to date! Much progress has been made with volunteers helping to clear a large volume of snow from the Central Park playing sufrace and surrounding areas.

Much more requires to be down however and the Club urgently needs volunteers to help with the continuing snow clearance operation Tuesday to Friday night this week. Rise to the challenge.

Jimmy Nicholl and the team are desperate to get back into action and Cowdenbeath FC needs to do all it can to get future home games on to help with cashflow. Your assistance will help on both counts to please come along to Central Park with your snow shovel and help out if you can - your club really needs you at this time.

Volunteers will rewarded with hot refreshments and free entry to a home game of your choice. Contact John Cameron, Office Manager, on 01383 610166 or office@cowdenbeathfc.com for more information.

"I urge supporters to help out where they can", commented Donald Findlay, Chairman.

"It is extremely important that the covers are lifted and that the large volume of snow is removed if we hope to be in a position to to host a football match at Central Park in the near future.

"The supporters of Cowdenbeath FC and the town really rallied to the cause during the summer to keep the Club in business. I hope to see individual supporters, the Trust, Supporters Club and the wider community coming together once more to assist with the snow clearing operation.

"Thanks in advance for any help provided."

Jimmy Nicholl added: "We are all desperate to get back to playing football again and continue to work towards our aim of securing First Division football again next season. Your support at games this season has been terrific and is much appreciated by the players and coaching staff. Let's hope we can all work together to see a game of football at Central Park as soon as possible."

Team Blue Brazil - play your part!

Saturday's Irn-Bru First Division fixture against Falkirk was postponed with Central Park under an estimated 400 tons of snow. No new date has been scheduled at this time.Meanwhile, Dundee FC are very hopefull that Tuesday (14th) night's game at Dens Park will beat the weather.
