The Blue Brazil responded positively from last weekend's disappointment to put on a five star show at Central Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Forthbank side dominated the opening 15 minutes but it was a one sided contest from then on in with youngsters Greg Stewart (first start of the season) and Kyle Miller both scoring on their full debuts.
Gordon Smith opened the scoring for the Binos after 9 minutes but Brian Allison headed into his own net 10 minutes later and the defender's afternoon got worse on 24 minutes when he received a red card for denying Scott Linton a clear goalscoring opportunity.
Man of the match Greg Stewart put Cowden ahead with a neat lob over Reidford on 27 minutes before Mark Ramsay added a third from close range 8 minutes after the interval.
Stirling Albion were reduced to 9 men after 71 minutes when Ryan Borris deservedly saw a straight red for a horror tackle on Ramsay. Brian Fairbairn produced a 'funtime special' to score from the resultant free-kick and 18-year old debutant Kyle Miller completed the scoring with 8 minutes remaining.
Jimmy Nicholl and his team were given a deserved standing ovation at full time while the away side left the field relieved not to have been on the end of an even heavier defeat.
