Double award for the Blue Brazil

Cowdenbeath FC has a double reason to celebrate after Jimmy Nicholl and David Hay won September Irn-bru awards.

Jimmy Nicholl led his First Division shock troops up to 4th place in the table last month thanks to two victories out of three with 2-1 wins over Greenock Morton and Dundee. The former Raith Rovers and Millwall manager was recongised for his teams achievement with the SFL Irn Bru First Division manager of the month for September.

Cowden stalwart David Hay has played a key part in our success in the first quarter of the season with the keeper picking up another man of the match award against Dundee. 'Duff', who made his 200th appearance for the club last weekend, has won a remarkable three promotions during his 5 years at Central Park and can now add the Irn-Bru SFL player of the month award to his list of honours.
