Raith Rovers 'A' 1 Cowdenbeath 'A' 2

Colin Cameron’s reserve side had to come from behind to take all three points in their opening Reserve League Cup game at Starks Park.

The home side had the better of the opening period and Roy did well to turn a shot from Mole around the post before the Kirkcaldy side opened the scoring after 18 minutes when Graham Weir fired home from the edge of the box.

Roy had to be at his best and denied both Mole and Weir as the homeside looked to add to their tally.

Cowden however drew level after 62 minutes when Greg Stewart slotted home an angled shot.

Both Sibanda and Ferguson then passed up good chances to give us the lead before Mark Smith (pictured) headed home from a Sibanda corner with 8 minutes remaining.
