Jimmy Nicholl made his first signing this week when he appointed former Scotland internationalist Colin Cameron as player/assistant manager.
Nicholl said: "I'm delighted to bring Micky in as my assistant"
"His main focus will be on the coaching side but he will also be a very imporant player for us. He has showed at traning so far that his fitness levels are magnificent and he has played at the highest level so his experience in the First Division is going to be a great asset for us.
"Micky joined up for training on Thursday night and took part in another session today. I have been delighted with the general fitness levels of the squad and have been very impressed with the quality on display."
Cameron (37), who is a UEFA qualified coach, began his career with neighbours Raith Rovers, under the tutelage of Jimmy Nicholl, in 1990 before moving on to Hearts, Wolves, Coventry and Milton Keynes Dons. The Kirkcaldy-born midfielder returned to Scotland in 2008 and spent two season with First Division side Dundee before making the move to Central Park.
‘Micky’ made his international debut in 1999 v Germany and went on to win 28 caps for Scotland. Cameron has Scottish League Cup and Scottish Cup winners medals and has won promotion on a number of occasion both north and south of the border.
